What’s in our mouth?
*GOD is spirit – God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 4:24
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Genesis 1:1-2 (How many spirits are clearly manifest or visible to all eyes?)
Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory forever and ever. Amen. 1 Timothy 1:17
It was by faith that Moses left the land of Egypt, not fearing the king's anger. He kept right on going because he kept his eyes on the one who is invisible. Hebrews 11:27
*Jesus is the WORD - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. John 1:1-5
*That WORD took on a body (became flesh) and mankind saw him (beheld him- Jesus) - And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth John 1:14
* The WORD (Jesus) speaks as directed by the Father - For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. John 12:49
*The WORD (Jesus) has an image while GOD is spirit - Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, Colossians 1:15
*GOD’s WORD (WORD of GOD) is in the mouth of Jesus – “To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: These are the words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand and walks among the seven golden lampstands Revelation 2:1
To the angel of the church in Smyrna write: These are the words of him who is the First and the Last, who died and came to life again. Revelation 2:8
“To the angel of the church in Pergamum write: These are the words of him who has the sharp, double-edged sword. Revelation 2:12
I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea. Revelation 1:9-11
And I turned to SEE THE VOICE THAT SPAKE WITH ME. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; And in the midst of the seven candlesticks ONE LIKE UNTO THE SON OF MAN, CLOTHED WITH A GARMENT DOWN TO THE FOOT, AND GIRT ABOUT THE PAPS WITH A GOLDEN GIRDLE. For the WORD OF GOD is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in HIS SIGHT: but all things are naked and opened unto the EYES OF HIM with whom we have to do. Hebrews 4:12-13
The WORD of GOD – the sharp twoedged sword is in the mouth of Jesus. He speaks the WORD of GOD. Whose word(s) are in our mouth? Whose mouthpiece are we? What and whose words are we speaking?
